I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Shirley. Shirley was a close friend of mine in Elementary and Jr. High school.

I started fourth grade at Houston and Shirley and I became close friends. We were inseperable. We spent alot of time after school together. We didn't live real close together but either her Dad or mine would take us back and forth to each other's home as much as they could. She was alot of fun and a very good friend. We always hung out at school, also, and I have a picture taken on the school playground of her and I. I think it was taken by our fellow classmate, Gloria.

I have always cherished the picture and will cherish it even more now. I will always remember Shirley as a funny, sweet, loveable and kind friend.

Sincerely,
Cathy(Tackett)Madden
